Annual Special Events
Grenville Baker’s many Special Events are a way to honor and celebrate those who have helped make the Club a staple in the community and provide great futures for countless children. Our Special Events also serve as fundraisers to support the Club and its many exciting programs.
Gala
Every year, Grenville Baker Boys & Girls Club holds its Annual Gala. During the event we applaud that year’s Hall of Fame inductees and the Club’s Youth of the Year.
The evening usually begins with cocktails while guests peruse auction items and citations are given to the Hall of Fame inductees. Then guests are seated for dinner and the evening’s ceremonies begin and ending with guests dancing the night away.
This event is the Club’s largest fundraiser that helps the Club support it’s mission that is:
To inspire and enable all young people to realize their potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens and community leaders of tomorrow.
Alumni & Friends Golf Tournament
The Alumni and Friends Golf Tournament is an annual event featuring breakfast, golf, lunch on the course, dinner, and an auction. It is an all-day affair All proceeds from the event and auction are used to help run our incredible programs for our kids at the Club.
Our day begins with breakfast and an open practice range. After breakfast, our players enjoy a full round of golf featuring contests for lowest gross individual scores, closest to the pin, longest drive, lowest gross team score, most accurate drive, and beat the pro. The following dinner includes the presentation of awards to our honorees as well as an auction featuring many great items and outings.
The Alumni and Friends Golf Tournament is one of the most fun-filled events we host and is a favorite among all attendees.
