Director of Sports & Fitness

Full-time

Boys & Girls Club in northern Nassau County is looking for detail-oriented full-time Director of Sports & Fitness to run intramural sports leagues in a busy, exciting, and growing community organization.

Responsible for the development, administration, and implementation of athletic, fitness, and recreational programming in a safe environment. Direct oversight of leagues, recruitment special events, fitness, and sports club programs. Our signature sport, basketball, attracts 400-500 children.

Basketball Assistants Needed

December 1st – March 28, 2020 Monday – Friday,  6pm – 10pm  Saturday: 8:30am – 5:30pm  or  9am – 1pm

The signature sport of Grenville Baker Boys & Girls Club is Basketball!

We attract 400-500 children each season to learn and enhance their basketball skills in a fun and supportive setting.

We are looking for assistants to work alongside coaches and facilitate the instruction of basketball skills to children grades 1-12.

If you know basketball and have the ability to convey good sportsmanship, we are interested in meeting with you!

Youth Development Assistant – Teen Programs Grades 6-12th    

Monday – Friday 2:45pm  – 7:15 pm

This position will provide guidance and role modeling to our 6-12th grade members at a new site location in Glen Cove.

Provide a safe and nurturing recreational environment for youth that encourages their social, emotional, physical and intellectual development. Provide homework help, and conduct activities that are fun and engaging.

Candidates with college course work related to psychology, social work or fields relevant to teen programs is desired.
